This series was initially based on the physically "absent", incomprehensibly large masses in deep space, the closest of which is 3C-273--the first quasar ever discovered. It sits 2.4 gigalightyears away and is approximately light years wide. For reference, one light year is approximately 6 trillion miles long, or 6,000 billion miles, where one billion miles is equal to 1,000 million miles, or over than 10 times the distance from the earth to the sun.
